Nooksy was born out of a a need recognised by two engineers Yon Kahlon and Franz Struwig. They realised that it is increasingly difficult for kids and grandparents to connect and bond as extended families often live in different cities or parts of the globe. The Nooksy team approached Tasha’s Design to assist them from beginning to end in bringing Nooksy to the world.

Nooksy is a fun and friendly reading app that provides a cosy warm space to connect with loved ones far and wide.

Tasha’s Design took charge of the creative, strategy and branding of the Nooksy product. Naming of the product, logo and brand identity design, packaging design, app layout, marketing materials and website design and build, illustration were all undertaken by Tasha’s.

The name Nooksy evokes the image and feeling of a small child cradled in the warmth and cosiness of an adult during story time. A nook of love, dreamtime and fantasy time are created during the experience of reading to a child, carrying both child and adult away into the realm of imagination.
